Choosing the right kitchen faucet can be a bit of a puzzle. Between styles, finishes, dimensions, price and functionalities, it’s hard to know where to begin. Here are our best tips and tricks to help you get started!

Tips for choosing the right type of faucet

Focus on simplicity

Avoid gadgets and trendy technological features that may shorten the lifespan of your product. Instead, focus on a powerful and precise jet, a good spray head that can get to every corner of your sink, a flexible and magnetic retractable hose, and a durable construction.

Higher quality = higher price

Higher quality materials typically equal a higher price. This means that in the long term, it is usually advantageous to spend a little more to avoid problems associated with lower quality faucets.

Pay special attention to materials

To ensure the durability of your faucet, opt for a model with a ceramic disk valve and a stainless steel or solid brass body. Weight is often a good indicator of quality: if you don’t know the exact composition of a faucet, lift it. A faucet with a solid brass body will be heavier than a faucet made from lower quality materials.

Identify your needs

Before you start shopping, make sure you understand your needs. What features do you really need? What finishes and styles will best complement your kitchen? Do you want to invest in a more expensive faucet or find something with a good quality-price ratio?

Don’t hesitate to ask questions to salespeople—they will be able to advise you on the best faucet to choose for your needs, budget and preferences.

This collection is one of our designer Patrizia’s favourites. Simple, elegant and affordable, it is distinguished by a wide range of metallic and SILGRANIT finishes (SLIGRANIT is a strong and durable material composed of 80% natural granite) allowing you to transform an everyday object into a decorative object that complements your kitchen. Another cool fact: this low gooseneck faucet is ideal for sinks located under kitchen cabinets.

If you’re also looking for a sink, check out the BLANCO SILGRANIT sinks, which are designed to match POSH SILGRANIT faucets!

Minimalist, elegant and durable, the ONO collection is the favourite of our co-founder Brigitte. She particularly likes the dual functionality of this faucet, which allows you to choose between two types of water jets as needed: a gentle jet perfect for washing hands or filling pots, and a spray head ideal for cleaning food or washing dishes. Plus, thanks to this faucet’s high and long spout, you will benefit from larger washing and working areas.

Among the wide selection of faucets offered by Brizo, Patrizia’s favourites are the pull-down faucet with square spout and knurled handle and the bridge faucet with square spout and knurled handle, both from the Litze collection. The former is ideal for modern and contemporary kitchens, while the latter pairs well with farmhouse and apron sinks. In addition, the first model has a magnetic pull-out spray head, which ensures that the spray head will not fall out after a few years (a common problem with spray heads).
